KK Office Solutions has recently been nominated as one of Wichita 's Best Places to Work for 2007.
The nominated companies compete in three divisions according to staff size, with results based on surveys completed by each nominated company's employees. To be eligible, the companies had to be located in Sedgwick, Butler , Harvey or Sumner County . Companies compete based on staff size. The small company division is 10 to 49 employees, medium division 50 to 149 employees and large division companies are those with more than 150 employees.
After nomination, companies are notified and asked to have employees complete an online survey conducted by Quantum Market Research. Quantum is widely recognized as the leading company in conducting this type of research. They facilitate the Best Places to Work surveys for all the American City Business Journals.
In the January 5, 2007 issue of the Wichita Business Journal the finalists will be announced in tiers. A luncheon banquet Thursday, March 8, will honor the winners and naming an overall best place to work in each tier. A special publication will be included in the March 9 edition of the Wichita Business Journal profiling the companies in the area that have been named the Best Places to Work.
Some of the categories employees will be questioned on include; Team Effectiveness, Retention Risk, Alignment with Goals, Trust with Coworkers, Individual Contribution, Manager Effectiveness, Trust in Senior Leaders, Feeling Valued, Work Engagement, and People Practices.
